Chili dog, funfair style
Serves 4
Ingredients
4 sausages, Frankfurt type
4 medium onions
2 french style baguettes (or any roll you like)
Salt & pepper
Olive oil
1/2 pinch(es) brown sugar
Chili powder
Preparation
1) Heat the oven 180°/fan. Boil water in a large pan.
2) Cut the onions into thin slices. Heat the oil and pour the onions. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, brown sugar & chilli powder. Cook up to tender. Put the sausages in the boiling water
3) Cut the baguette into 4 bits (as long as the sausage) and pre-cut them lengthwise but not fully (should open like a book). Then heat them a few minutes in the oven
4) Finally, put one sausage in the baguette, some ketchup and some onions
