Origin	Manchester
Genre	Psych, post-punk and soul!
Debut	Relatively new to the scene, but they’re already turning heads the world over.
Name	Electricity, power & gas! What did you expect?
Lyrics	Monica's beautiful and breathtaking vocals are as ethereal as they are deep and soulful.
Influences	The five piece ensemble draw inspiration from the genres of krautrock, psychedelia and post-punk to forge their own unique style.
Next step	Taking over the world! Their new single, “Brown Eyes”, has gotten the band featured in magazines throughout the UK, Europe and America, as well as having been showcased on radio stations across six continents.

Origin	Leeds
Genre	Edgy and provocative experimental rock. Memorable melodies, riffs, breakdowns and progressive builds
Debut	Started together as a band 4 years ago.
Name	An ‘Esper’ is someone with ‘extra sensory perception’, first written down in Alfred Bester’s ‘Oddy and Id’ short story and a word since used in Blade Runner, Akira and Final Fantasy. With the ‘Scouts’ being a group of people, the full name refers to a gang who are connected through something you can’t quite put your finger on.
Lyrics	Heartfelt, precise and clever lyrics, written about engagement and crafted to encourage discussion.
Influences	From Kate Bush to Public Service Broadcasting… Mark E Smith said they were ‘like a slow Stooges’

	Lazy Eye
Origin	Stoke-on-Trent, just between Birmingham and Manchester
Genre	Mix of indie and folk with touches of psych rock
Debut	Launched in April 2014 as a solo project. The band has grown and come together after Paul, James and Josh heard the first few singles and got in touch.
Name	Scott Powell: “I chose LazyEye as a stage name originally to try to differentiate from the thousands of singer songwriters who just use their own name. And LazyEye, well I’ve always had a lazy eye since birth, I’m partially sighted in one eye.”
Lyrics	So very often songs are about real situations and real life
Influences	The Kinks, The Beatles, Bob Dylan
Next step	Lots of gigs lined up. Next release with the help of some Manchester friends to hopefully push things to the next level

	Bathymetry
Origin	Based in-between Manchester and Liverpool
Genre	Each song has got different influences, from light pop to movie soundtracks
Debut	First album in June 2015 on Ugly Man Records.
Name	The term "bathymetry" originally referred to the ocean's depth relative to sea level. They changed their name early 2015 because their former name was already used.
Lyrics	Often reading a novel will inspire a new tune/new lyrics
Influences	Inspiration is drawn from the natural world, history, colours, cartoons, old books & films... anything that feeds the imagination
